Simple and Elegant Wisconsin Summer Wedding

Summer in Wisconsin is a magical time filled with warm weather, outdoor activities, and breathtaking scenery. It is a beautiful time for an elegant Wisconsin Summer wedding.

Their Love Story

Steph & Brett met that old school kind of way – swiping right on Tinder! Their first date was full of good beer and lots of laughs.

Brett popped the question on April 30, 2021. Steph was nearly asleep on the couch when to her surprise their kitty Farley entered the room wearing a bright orange bow tie. Steph noticed something sparkly on the bow tie but thought it couldn’t be a ring.

That sparkly thing was in fact a ring and Brett was down on one knee.

They say that in some ways, their love story was backwards— they were together for six years before getting married. They bought a house and two cats along the way. Their love is built on friendship, fun and commitment, and they wouldn’t have it any other way.

Why a Wisconsin Summer Wedding?

Steph & Brett chose Harvest Moon Pond because they fell in love when they first toured it. They could picture their wedding under the big willow trees.

Stephanie & Brian were so kind, welcoming and helpful from the start, and everything just felt right. They toured two other venues, but none of them gave them the good feeling that Harvest Moon Pond did.

One of their favorite moments from their wedding day were the ceremony and speeches. Their good friend officiated our wedding which made it so special. He put them at ease, and it felt so calm and intimate. It was incredible for them to look out and see all their favorite people together to celebrate us.

It was funny and heartwarming to hear what stories and memories people shared during the speeches. They could barely hold back tears during those moments.

Advice from the Couple

While they had about a year to plan their wedding, their advice is to try to enjoy your engagement for a while and truly determine what your must haves are before looking into things. You may realize quickly that some of your ‘must haves’ might need to be adjusted if you are sticking to a certain budget.

On your wedding day your focus will be on your spouse, family, and friends, not on if the decoration looks just perfect.

“I stressed about certain things that I didn’t even have time to look at on the wedding day!” – Steph

Another piece of advice – don’t stress about your timeline on the wedding day – things come up and the timeline gets adjusted, just go with the flow, and enjoy the day no matter what – it goes by so quickly!
